About Mohammad Chanaa
Dedicated Healthcare Professional | Emergency Responder | Community Leader
Mohammad Chanaa is a purpose-driven healthcare professional who has built his life around one guiding principle: compassion is the core of care. With a unique dual background in outpatient medicine and emergency services, Mohammad exemplifies what it means to serve patients across every spectrum of need—with skill, empathy, and humility.
After earning his degree in Biology, Microbiology, and Sociology from George Mason University, Mohammad was deeply moved by the heroism he witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience shifted his trajectory from a traditional pre-med track to immersive, hands-on roles in the field. He quickly established himself as a respected EMT and volunteer firefighter, accruing thousands of hours supporting patients, responding to crises, and mentoring fellow volunteers.
Today, as Clinical Lead at a prominent cardiology clinic, Mohammad oversees daily operations while delivering critical follow-up care for patients recovering from hospitalization. He complements this role with his service as Deputy Chief of his local volunteer fire department—where he also sits on the board and teaches at the department’s academy.
His leadership style is grounded in listening, mentoring, and modeling dignity-driven care. Whether guiding a clinical team or training first responders, Mohammad emphasizes that compassion, even in routine moments, is what makes healthcare truly human.
One of his proudest milestones came when he graduated valedictorian from a nine-month fire academy—while fasting for Ramadan, working full-time, and managing personal hardship. This experience reflects his resilience, perseverance, and deep inner strength.
Looking ahead, Mohammad is preparing to take the next step in his journey: becoming a Physician Assistant. For him, the PA role is the perfect blend of medical expertise, patient continuity, and hands-on service—allowing him to further impact lives while upholding the principles that have guided him thus far.
Outside of work, Mohammad remains active in his community, mentors aspiring healthcare professionals, and values peace of mind, service, and stability as the truest measures of success.
